Made to be portable
The reason why I gave this four stars is because of how simple it was made to take with you. If this was based on quality and effectiveness, it would get three stars. This is basic quality that works. You will get a few nicks here and there, but you would be able to get the job done relatively easy. The shave cream is okay. It’s nothing to really boast about. The razor itself is decent. It would have been better if it had three blades instead of two. What really sets this apart is how easy it is to take with you. It’s made to be a backup or more accurately put, an emergency shaving kit. That is what this box of shavers are really meant to be.

Adequate twin-blade razor for a single shave, and the handle is really small
***Update 4/20/2025***These are absolutely one-shot razors.* I thought the nick from the first shave was me going too fast, but it turns out that it was already getting dull.* I tried to get a second shave in and had to stop half-way and switch to my normal razor (wasn’t going to open another one of these to finish).* Nicked myself multiple times because these don’t hold an edge through more than one shave.* The shaving cream was almost completely empty (thought it had more in it) so ended up using my normal shaving cream anywayThe only possible exception would be if you have very fine facial hair, in which case you could possibly get multiple shaves in on a single razor, but you will need more shaving cream regardless.Still not bad, but dropping my recommendation to single use backups or as I mentioned, wound prep.***Original Review***The Good:* Each kit is individually packaged, and the package is paper, not plastic* Blades are sharp and cut well for a twin-blade razor* The razor can absolutely be used at least a couple of times, maybe as many as 4 or 5 depending on the coarseness of your beard* The kit includes a tube of shaving cream, but there’s really only enough for at most 2 shaves* Individual packaging is great for a camping trip, go bag, the gym bag or just a backup* These actually gave me a better shave than the last cheap, disposable twin-blade razor I used* REALLY good price, even with the limitations ($32.99 for 50 at time of review)The Meh:* If you are used to a 4 or 5-blade razor, this will take getting used to as 2 blades just can’t do as much in one pass as 4 or 5* I’m not a huge fan of the shaving cream fragrance* The shaving cream tube is only about half full. Since the razor can be used more than once, and the tube for the shaving cream is already a certain size, filling it completely would help things last a bit longer.The Bad:* Nothing bad, the set just has some limitsThe Verdict:I definitely recommend these, as the price is really good and these would absolutely come in handy. I appreciate that the handle is biodegradable (although I don’t know what’s going to happen to the blades), and that the pouch it’s packaged in is paper and not plastic.I intend to pack at least one in my first aid kit for shaving around wounds if necessary (arms, legs, etc.) because these would also be perfect for that.A couple of notes, that are neither good nor bad, just for awareness, especially if you are used to a 4 or 5 blade pivoting head razor.1) You will be rinsing these much more often. You just don’t realize how much work those extra blades are doing until they aren’t there.2) Slow Down with these. Again, with more blades you can go a little quicker and still get the close shave. Not so with these and I nicked myself for the first time in years because I was going too fast. Not the blade’s fault, completely on me.3) These don’t pivot, so you need to be more controlled in how you handle it during shaving. Not bad, just be aware and you’ll be fine.I plan on buying another case and donating to a shelter as well, because having the ability to get a clean shave, even once in a while, is nice.

For what these are, these are a great value. Are they meant to replace your daily 5 blade razor? No. Are they meant to be used multiple times? Probably not. These are great for care packages or a quick, crap I forgot my normal hygiene products. They will do in a pinch. The eco friendly materials used are nice as well. The shaving cream definitely has a masculine fragrance (but not overbearing) and doesn’t foam up much.
