A helpful smart scale and attractively priced
This is review is of the ‘Etekcity Upgraded Smart Scale’. After having had a mechanical scale for many years, which seemed accurate enough but which had to be constantly reset to zero pounds, and which wasn’t easy to read for me, I got this one which is backlit and provides several nice functions besides keeping track of one’s weight over a period of time.The scale’s not perfect, but at this price point I think it’s a good investment. The app talks to my iPad perfectly once it connects by Bluetooth. You can track your weight progress, BMI, and body fat percentage, and access the data easily and also set goals. I think the weight calculation is pretty accurate and the BMI is a simple calculation which is probably also correct. The body fat percentage is a more complex calculation which relatively inexpensive scales and even more expensive scales may not get right.I think the important thing is that we can track our progress and give ourselves a motivational boost by using a scale like this. But I wouldn’t entirely rely on body fat measurements except that if the percentage gets better it’s probably a good thing. So, I’m happy to recommend this scale.** I write reviews to help people because others’ reviews have helped me. If you are inclined to write reviews, it’s most helpful if you’re specific about the product you’re reviewing, because sometimes several product reviews of a manufacturer get lumped together-which is less helpful.

Great scale for a great price.
Pretty easy setup, synced with my Fitbit and MyFitnessPal seamlessly. It could be a little more user friendly as far as navigating the home page in the beginning, but simple enough once you get used to it. I’ll take the body composition measurements with a grain of salt but probably a decent approximation of a baseline if nothing else. I have a ‘dumb’ scale by Etekcity too and they are both really accurate within oz of one another.

Easy to read smart scale
Very clear display. Connects to the app with a little difficulty but having the app open first before stepping on the scale makes it way easier although sometimes I have to do it a couple times. Entries get logged in the app, along with the body fat, BMR, water, protein, etc. The display goes off after a few seconds after displaying weight, BMI, fat %, and muscle %, so it conserves batteries. Very easy to store in the bathroom, high quality components, and I believe the machine is accurate, so I recommend.

Amazing scale!
I’ve had it a week now and so far I LOVE THIS SCALE! I researched so many from inexpensive to very expensive. I looked at the reviews and this one just kept coming up on top and now I see why. Set up was a breeze, I was done in maybe a minute or two tops. Works like a champ every morning giving me all the information I want, weight, BMI, Metabolic age, graph chart etc. I would recommend this very affordable, nice looking sturdy scale to anyone who wants a little more out of their morning weigh in. I’ll never go back to a regular scale again.

I Love this scale!
I am very happy with it! I bought this partway through my weight loss journey and it’s working very well. The app is user friendly and helps me log my weight and has tons of cool info. Definitely worth the money!

This scale, if it worked, would be a good scale. Unfortunately, about a week after I got it, it stopped measuring anything other than weight and BMI. I tried taking the batteries out and put back in and it would work for a day, but after a few days of having to take the batteries out and put back in again every day before using it, even that has stopped working as well. I have tried new batteries to no avail. This scale is now, a very expensive scale that only tells me my weight and BMI. I get the same thing from my older, much less expensive scale.Don’t waste your time or money on this. It’s a dud.
