Better and comparatively cheaper than separate knee and ankle braces
I’ve been paying for separate ankle and knee braces for several years— around $150 per knee & $35 per ankle ($370 total!!) These are only $165 and you get both legs, or $85 for just one. The ankle and knee parts can be detached from each other if you only need to use one. This thing is a real AFO, unlike most others on Amazon. It’s sturdy, height & width adjustable, and you can choose how much bending and straightening you want to allow. It’s pretty much exactly as advertised, and I’d say true to size as well. I’ve worn it while running some errands, and prevents all the abnormal movements I need prevented + alleviates some weight (similarly to a boot) while staying pretty comfortable compared to lots of other braces I’ve tried.The only real drawbacks are that shipping took a while, the instructions don’t come in English, I had to buy size 13 shoes to fit it in, and the brace is a little on the heavier side (but not so much that it’s an issue. it’s not cheap or flimsy plastic!! It’s definitely higher end. I’d have to guess the extra weight is a natural result of that).
