As a person that has tried my fair share of protein bars and shakes over the course of nearly 30 years now, back when they all seemed to taste like a combination of dirt and gravel back in the 90s to this most recent brand, they have come a long way.Being completely transparent like most people knocking on 50, I may have fallen off a bit in my exercise routine and my diet and I am slowly starting to work Healthier meals and supplements back into my lifestyle.I have recently tried two other brands with varying levels of resentment and or or satisfaction LOL, this was a very impulsive buy because it was the most expensive. It was one of those look away and Press the purchase button.To my surprise and shock, this was by far and away the best tasting protein bar that I’ve had since starting to experiment with them again adding to the fact that they have 45 g of protein which is double of the other protein bars I tried.It’s chewy unlike one or the other bars that I’ve recently purchased that weee more like trying to rip a piece of jerky off and chew it up. I don’t need any other flavors. Salted caramel and dark chocolate is my go-to so I am a little biased.The A few extra dollars this is costing me is outweighed by the amount of protein that comes with it, a fair amount of fat which is always good, carbs are just a little bit higher than I would like but I can live with that, add to the fact that this keeps me full and satiated for a while while while I’m at a work trudging my way through a 12-hour shift And I put something healthy in my mouth instead of a Snickers bar.I will be coming back to this brand again and again, didn’t think I was going to find one that I liked after three tries so this makes me very happy.

Good but dry
This is really good 4 star item. The macros are wild if you’re looking for a solid protein base. I bought a couple boxes for snacks on the road. I ate 1-2 bars a day and they did the job. They kept me full and I didn’t lose any lean mass while traveling for two weeks. They also left enough calories to indulge a bit on local food.The downside is that the bar is really dense, almost toffee-like. It coats your mouth and feels dry going down. Honestly they are hard to eat without a cup of coffee at hand. Overall, they taste pretty good if you counteract the dryness. If texture and portability are really important to you, you might want to keep looking.

45g of protein in a bar is a novel idea but not worth it
The bars arrived without any staleness issues. As someone who eats protein bars every day, the taste was mediocre. The bars are big, dense, and extremely chewy to a degree that they are unpleasant. The low sugar content is nice but not noticeably different from the sugar content of other protein bars. They are convenient to carry around but inconvenient to eat because it is a chore to sit there and chew for an extended period of time to make it possible to swallow. At the price point, this claim in the “About this item” section seems outdated marketing at best and misleading at worst: “best protein-to-value ratio in any bar”. Pure Protein bars right now are fewer than $0.06 / gram of protein. These Musashi bars are closer to $0.08 / gram of protein.

Great and Delicious Protein Bars!!
I Love these for when I skip a meal or are just low on protein for the day. I wish they were less expensive. I’m on a tight budget. But l find them delicious. They are larger and more dense than other similar bars. So they might not be for everyone.I had back surgery in January this year. This is when I found out that I was just not getting enough protein. I don’t do shakes. So these are Great!I’m no nutritionist. But I am starting to see some correlation between the protein and overall health. Average person needs over 100 grams of protein daily. I think we might get fat when the amount of protein is eclipsed by the carbs and fat we intake.When I grew up the emphasis was on the food groups and that pyramid. It is a good basis for a healthy diet. But the truth of it is that that pyramid should be souly based on carbs, fat, and protein. In my opinion protein should be at the bottom and is the foundation of all things important, like brain health and all the infrastructures of the human body.

Dense and Chewy with a Little Sweetness
I found this to be a very good deal due to the high protein content. I actually ate a half of a bar at a time because these bars are quite filling. Definitely a dense protein bar. They don’t taste quite as good as they look, but I have an acquired taste for protein bars in general. Slightly bitter, moderately sweet, and a little bit bland in terms of flavor. But I’m still giving it 5 stars because of the 45 grams of protein – plus, the dark chocolate coating is good. I’m 105 lbs., so eating half is plenty for me. It might not be for others. This bar is also very chewy.

Good tasting and I can afford the sugar but the protein helped me with my gains. I like chewy. This is a chewy product. Get the rice one if you like crunchy texture. It’s also good.

Great macros, very chewy
I’m fascinated by the low calories and high protein content of these bars. They don’t taste great but they’re extremely convenient. I imagine these are really only for people who are actively strength training. The taste is “toldrable” but the macros make them worth it
