Must have for hikes
I purchased this hiking backpack for my hiking adventures in Wales, Europe. We spent 3 weeks hiking in Wales and I knew I needed a good hiking backpack for day trips. This was the perfect size for me. I had plenty of space for a full change of clothes, a thin down jacket, snacks, a hat and gloves. This bag has straps for walking poles. I absolutely love the ventilation system. This system kept my back dry during long hikes. I also love how the pack is adjustable. I could adjust the pack for my height and while doing so the pack did not feel uneven. The straps on the top of the bag are great because they allow the pack to fit closer to your body. This pack has so many adjustments it’s really perfect. I ended up using the rain cover during one of our hikes when we got caught in the rain. The rain cover was also nice when we went walking under a waterfall. I also like this pack because it can be used as a carry on. I used this pack as a carry on while flying from Atlanta to London. I will not that due to the airspeed ventilation system you wont be able to just cram the pack in any old space. The height is really the height. The zippers were great throughout my trip. They are quality zippers with small straps on them to help pull the zippers in either direction. Osprey packs can tend to be expensive but you can catch them on deals from time to time. They are well worth the money for the functionality you get with their packs.Right out the box you could tell how durable the pack was. Osprey makes some quality products.

Great Backpack – design, quality, breathability!
A great product! All around great quality and fit with comfortable chest strap and waist belt. The main feature I love about this bag is the mesh back and how it keeps the backpack away from your back. This is awesome if you get hot or in sweaty climates. I also noticed that i bladder cooler since it’s not sitting against my back.Fantastic bag. I bought it specifically for seven day trek to Machu Picchu and was very impressed.

love the form and function of this backpack. a few things1. the netting ripped on the side pouch. i know – lifetime guarantee, but i think a backpack sewn up with some dental floss has character. just surprised it ripped this early.2. water bladder somewhat hard to get to

Great Hiking Backpack
Bought this backpack for my son as a Christmas gift. He loved how light weight it was along with all the storage capacity this bag has. Definitely worth the money if you enjoy hiking.

Love this bag! It has a large number of compartments and allows for seperate storage. The side zippers give great access to thw bottom of the bag.

24L vs 34L
This is the best of hiking backpacks. I was worried 34L was too big but it is only 0.4 pounds (120 g) more weight than the 24L. It has an expandable 10L section to the inside bottom of it that can be collapsed and not use or expanded and filled with more gear. So the same size as a 24L not used. I am 6’3” and I needed an extra inch or two in the frame to fit perfectly according to website. The 34L accommodated a longer vertical frame setting if needed but still offered all the same frame settings as the 24L. So more space if needed or don’t use extra space and same size as 24L. Ventilated back is essential and this frame has great ventilation and strength.

私は夏以外の山に毎月2回程度登ります。標高は300～1100メートルで、行動時間は２時間～6時間です。モンベルのガレナパック20を13年間使っていました。年齢を経ることによる体力の低下、熊スプレーなどの保険的装備により、重量を感じることが増えました。ショルダーベルトが肩によく食い込みます。他のザックを探していました。ストラス24を冬山5時間歩きで使用した感想は次の通りです。①重さが分散される ☆☆☆☆☆ガレナパックを背負うと、その重みは重力よろしく真下の地面に向かう一方で、ストラスを使用すると（ヒップベルトを締めたうえで）、重みが腸骨、腰、背中に分散され、重さをほとんど感じず、ショルダーベルトが肩に食い込みません。ショルダーベルトはザックの背面と私の背中に密着させることに重きが置かれています。ヒップベルトはクッション入で、腸骨を明確に包み込みます。驚いたのは、下山時の膝の痛みが減ったことです。②多彩なポケット☆☆☆☆☆これはよい！と思ったのが前面中央にある縦型ジップポケットです。今まではレインウェアをザックのメインポケットの底に入れていたのですが、このポケットにレインウェアを入れると、簡単に取り出せる。また、最上部のポケットは折りたたみ地図やモバイルバッテリー、財布などが容易に入る大きさで、実に使いやすい。③レインカバー☆☆☆レインカバーは専用の下部ポケットに収納され、下部ポケットと十文字で紐づけされています（写真）。紐づけされているので、レインカバーをザックに装着しても、強風で飛ばされることはないと思います。その上で、ガレナパックと比較します。ガレナパックにはレインカバー用の凹ボタンがショルダーベルトに、レインカバーには凸ボタンがあり、これをはめ込みます。また、レインカバーと専用ポケットをプラスチックでカチリと止める仕様です。ガレナパックのレインカバーは稜線の強風でも、吹き飛ばされない強度を持っている。ストラスの場合、ザックの金属フレームにレインカバーをかぶせるだけです。下手したら、強風がレインカバーを飛ばすんじゃないかと心配性な私は思ったりします。⓸背面の通気性☆☆☆☆☆ガレナパックを背負い続けると、汗が背中に広がり、乾きません。ザックを下ろして、休憩を取る。そのあとにザックを背負う。冷える！冬山なんかではこれが冷たくて仕方ない。ストラスにはこれがありません。ザックの背面→10センチの空間→メッシュという構成なので、背中の汗は乾きます。⑤その他背面の長さを自分好みに調整できます。チェストベルトに笛が付いています。ロードリフターストラップがあり、背中とザックを密着させられます。縦型ジップポケットの真上に小さいジップポケットがあり、重宝します。サイドポケットの高さは25〜28センチで、ストックやサングラスケースの収納に適してます。結論☆☆☆☆☆購入して、よかった。必要な機能を高いレベルで詰め込んでいて、開発者たちは多分、山登りが好きなんだなと思います。非常に優れたザックです。

I’ve owned several Osprey sacks over the years and as a day sack this one didn’t disappoint. The 24Ltr is perfect for my needs for days out in the Scottish Highlands . The side pockets can easily carry a litre bottle each , safe and secure. The frame size can be adjusted to suit the length of your back and the chest and hip straps are made with comfort in mind.

Zaino eccellente per trekking e gite in giornata. Leggero, ben bilanciato e con un sistema di areazione sulla schiena che fa davvero la differenza nelle camminate estive. Tante tasche ben distribuite e facile accesso al contenuto principale. Lo schienale regolabile lo rende molto confortevole anche con carichi pieni. Ottima qualità dei materiali, come sempre con Osprey.
